Weekly-based learning pathway:
You participate in teaching and supervision as scheduled. Your studies will be paced according to schedules of the group meetings and the independent learning tasks.

Accelerated learning pathway:
The method of participation must be agreed before the beginning of the course. If you work in a company, organization or project offered by a university, you can complete the course or module in your workplace / project either in full or in part.
In this case, you are in contact with the teacher of the course at the beginning of the course and agree on a development task for your workplace / project. Learning requires that in your work, you become acquainted with the themes covered in the course, and master them both in theory and in practice.

Strong cooperation with RDI projects related to game programming. Opportunity to utilize the assignments in the course to develop a work assignment or your own product.

Yksilölliset oppimisväylät

Viikkopohjainen oppimisväylä: Osallistut työjärjestyksen mukaiseen opetukseen ja ohjaukseen. Opiskelusi rytmittyvät työjärjestyksen mukaisten ryhmätapaamisten ja itsenäisesti tehtävien oppimistehtävien mukaan.

Työelämä tai nopeutettu oppimisväylä: Suoritustavasta sovittava ennen opintojakson alkua. Jos työskentelet alan yrityksessä, organisaatiossa tai korkeakoulun tarjoamassa projektissa, voit suorittaa opintojakson tai moduulin työpaikallasi/projektissa joko kokonaan tai osittain. Tällöin olet yhteydessä opintojakson alussa opintojakson opettajaan ja sovit työpaikallesi/projektille tehtävästä kehittämistehtävästä. Oppiminen edellyttää, että työssäsi perehdyt opintojaksolla käsiteltäviin teemoihin ja hallitset ne sekä teoriassa että käytännössä.

TKI ja työelämäyhteistyö

Vahvaa yhteistyötä peliohjelmointiin liittyvien TKI hankkeiden kanssa. Mahdollisuus hyödyntää opintojakson harjoistöitä työelämätoimeksiannon tai oman tuotteen kehittämiseen.

Tentit ja muut määräajat

Opintojakson tentti suoritetaan etukäteen määritettynä ajankohtana exam tenttiakvaariossa.
Opintojakson uusintasuorituksien ajankohdat määritellään opintojakson Learn alustalla opintojakson alussa. Uusintasuorituksessa uusitaan koko opintojakson sisältö.

135 tuntia, joista lähiopetusta noin 55 tuntia

Toteutuksen osien kuvaus

Opintojakso toteutetaan 7 viikon rytmissä, joka jakautuu 14 erilliseen 4h mittaiseen lähitapaamiseen.
Viikot on jaettu teemoihin ja teemojen mukaisesti toteutamme harjoitustöitä tiimityöskentelynä. Viikojen teemoja ovat. Mitä pelit ovat?, Monetisaatio, Prototyypit ja mockupit, Käyttöliittymät ja käyttökokemus, Kohdeyleisö ja julkaisualustat sekä Lautapelit. (opettaja pidättää oikeudet muutoksiin tarpeen niin vaatiessa)
Opintojakson aikana toteutettavat harjoitustyöt esitetään sekä arvioidaan. Opiskelijat toteuttavat myös itsenäisiä esitehtäviä viikkojen teemoihin.
