Management and workplace skills 5 ECTS credits
Yksilölliset oppimisväylät
Verkko-opintoina suoritettava opintojakso, missä hyödynnetään Learnin oppimisympäristöä. Opintojakson osa-alueiden sisältöihin linkittyvät oppimistehtävät ja tentti. Verkko-opintojen tukena nauhoitettava Teams-luento sekä kaksi Q&A-ohjaustuokiota.
Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä on mahdollinen, jos esim. työskentelet ammattialaan liittyvässä yrityksessä tai organisaatiossa tai ammattialaan liittyvissä työtehtävissä. Tällöin voit suorittaa opintojakson työpaikallasi/projektissa joko kokonaan tai osittain. Oppiminen edellyttää, että työssäsi perehdyt opintojaksolla käsiteltäviin teemoihin ja hallitset ne sekä teoriassa että käytännössä. Osaamisen näytön oppimistehtävien sisällöistä sinun tulee aina sopia etukäteen opintojakson opettajan kanssa

Opintojakson oppimistehtävillä ja tentillä tuetaan opiskelijan työelämävalmiuksien kehittymistä ja lähijohtamisen hyvien toimintatapojen jakoa.
Opiskeltavassa aineistossa on runsaasti työelämälähtöistä ja ajanokohtaista aineistoa.
Tentit ja muut määräajat
Oppimistehtävien ja tentin määräajat ilmoitetaan opintojakson alkaessa. Arviointiin vaikuttavia palautuksia EI voi tehdä määräaikojen umpeuduttua. Opintojaksolla opiskelija pääsee harjoittelemaan itsensä ja ajankäyttönsä johtamista.

Lisämateriaalina englanninkielistä aineistoa ja kansainvälisiä caseja.
Opiskelijan työmäärä
Opintojakson laajuus on 5 opintopistettä: 1 op = 27 työtuntia eli tämän opintojakson suorittaminen edellyttää noin 135 työtuntia. Suunnittelethan ajankäyttösi oppimistasi tukevaksi.
Toteutuksen osien kuvaus
Opintojakso on jaettu Learnissa osa-alueisiin:
1. Strategia, liiketoiminta ja lähijohtaminen
2. Lähijohtajan roolit ja tehtävät
3. Yksilön ja ryhmän suorituksen johtaminen
4. Lähijohtamisosaamisen kehittäminen
Osa-alueiden opiskelu, oppimistehtävät ja tentti jaksottavat ja aikatauluttavat opiskelua.

Assessment methods and criteria
Opintojakson arviointi perustuu yksilötyönä ja pienryhmissä tehtäviin osa-alueiden oppimistehtäviin ja yksilösuorituksen tenttiin.
Arviointi osaamisperusteista:
d. Osaat arvioida toimintaa esimiehen kannalta asiakas-, käyttäjä- ja kohderyhmätilanteissa.
f. Osaat toimia hyvänä esimerkkinä ja ryhmän jäsenenä tavoitteellisesti
g. Osaat soveltaa kriittisesti oman alan eettisiä periaatteita erilaisissa esimiestilanteissa

There is no exam in the course. The grade is based on the assessed assignments, the return times of which are as follows: Online discussion task, return no later than February 17th, 2025 at 9:00 p.m. Final assignment, return no later than May 5th, 2025 at 9:00 p.m. During the study period, we respect the schedules.

Assessment methods and criteria
Online discussion assignment 20 % of the course grade. Final assignment 60 % of the course grade. Other tasks 20 % of the grade.

* Gather appropriate insights from stakeholders using multiple sources and methods
* Map and develop leadership/management skills (case company)
* Work individually and in development teams to solve given business problems
* Apply key theoretical frameworks in leadership and management to solve case problems
* Demonstrate independent expertise in developing own leadership skills to manage company as an entrepreneur
* Communicate own expertise through written reports and presentations in English.
