Teaching methods

Work week-based learning pathway:
Date January-April. The course consists of classroom and field teaching, learning tasks and excursions. Approximately half of the student's workload is contact teaching and half is independent study.
First Aid (0.5 credits): you actively participate in contact teaching 100%.
A learning pathway that accelerates studies:
First aid: Not used.
Work-integrated learning path:
Contact OVA. First aid 1: not in use.

Employer connections

First and fundamental studycourse in woodprocurement, no RDI or business contacts.

Exam schedules

Retakes of the field test must be arranged separately with the teacher. It is possible to supplement and increase learning tasks.

Student workload

First aid: online teaching 8 hours + classroom teaching 8 hours.

Assessment methods and criteria

Learning assignments and field test.
First aid: exam + CPR competency testing (The student actively participates in class exercises and passes the tests.) First aid is evaluated on a fail/pass scale.

Teaching methods

A learning pathway that accelerates studies:
Online course. Implementation period spring semester. The course is completed by doing the so-called weekly assignments. At the end of the study period, a few tasks with a longer completion time until the end of the summer. One contact day in May.
Work-integrated learning path:
Contact OVA.

Assessment methods and criteria

The online course includes tasks that are evaluated. The grade is determined based on the sum of the assignment points. So it's always worth returning even an incomplete answer. A "late discount" may apply to late responses.
