- You are able to apply adequate evaluation or diagnostic methods of the muscleskeletal system using an evidence-based approach.
- Based on medical science and proven experience, you are able to analyze and evaluate examination findings and thereby, select, plan, implement and evaluate adequate treatment methods or how to refer the patient to appropriate examination and treatment.
- You are able to apply your knowledge of human body and its function to the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders and associated comorbidities.
- You are able to reflect your own knowledge and demonstrate the ability to identify the additional information you need and continuously develop your skills.
Content
- By completing this course, the student will achieve a wider understanding of the epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of pain and dysfunction in the musculoskeletal system.
- The student will gain a wider understanding of the consequences of acute and chronic pain and dysfunction in the musculoskeletal system and its management, as well as knowledge of appropriate treatment options guided by the development of pain neuroscience.
- Prognostics factors and prevention of pain and dysfunction in the musculoskeletal system.
