You write texts that meet the standards for form, content and linguistic accuracy required in your studies and working life. You are able to use up-to-date instructions and appropriate sharing tools and media.
You deepen your expertise in meetings, negotiations and presentations.
You have a good command of style required in written and oral professional communication.

Content

How to maintain and develop communication competence for professional purposes (oral situations, written texts)?
How to recognise a text that meets standards for style, form, content and instructions for linguistic accuracy in professional communication? How to select appropriate media for publishing texts?
How to deepen your skills in meetings, negotiations and presentations?
Following your needs, the course content can have an extend of 1–5 ETCS credits and include following elements:
Presentation Skills 1 cr
Negotiations and Meetings 1 cr
Trends in Professional Communication 1 cr
Standard Writing 1 cr
Reporting and Academic Writing 1 cr

The student can
a) use professional vocabulary and concepts in different situations
b) limit and justify the use of information sources
e) apply the models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field
and justify their use
g) apply the ethical principles of the professional field in different situations.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student can
a) use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations.
b) evaluate information sources critically.
e) choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices.
g) apply critically the ethical principles of the professional field in different situations.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can
a) use professional vocabulary and concepts extensively and proficiently in different situations
b) justify their information sources in a versatile and critical way
e) evaluate and develop models, methods, software and techniques
g) promote the application of ethical principles in unfamiliar situations

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The course will be accepted if the student can
