Objective

Learning the practical skills and completing approved simulator training based on prior STCW table A-II/1 studies.

Content

Supervised simulator exercises based on prior studies in the following subject areas:
- navigation in open sea and traffic separation schemes
- ship manoeuvring and handling
- bridge watchkeeping
- navigation in coastal waters and restricted visibility
- navigation in restricted waters
- respond to distress signals and emergencies

Qualifications

Prior studies:
- Emergency procedures 1
- Simulator training at the operational level 1

- ARPA (A-II/1, A-II/2)
- Approved training during studies

Further information

Workweek learning lane: participation in all lessons and training sessions is obligatory.

Work integrated learning lane: participation in supervised on-board training at the operational level and approved completion of supplementary on-board exercises.
