Yksilölliset oppimisväylät

The instruction is based on in-person teaching, alternating between lectures, independent work at home, and exercises done during class. The exercises are carried out as individual tasks, pair tasks, and small group tasks.
Studies take place both on campus under supervision and in Learn, working both under supervision and independently.
The course includes three graded assignments, which determine the course grade. Additionally, there are three mandatory, non-graded assignments. Successful completion of these assignments is a prerequisite for passing the course. All assignments affecting the course grade are done as homework, except for the graded oral communication task.
The course follows a weekly schedule, covering the content of the course curriculum. In the initial phase, there are approximately two attendance sessions per week, which then decrease to about one session per week. The entire course is completed in approximately 10–11 weeks.
The course cannot be taken as an exam. Alternative methods of completion are negotiated with the teacher. For a very valid reason, it is possible to complete a substitute assignment for tasks affecting the course grade.
The course can be substituted with previous studies in Finnish language and/or communication at a university of applied sciences or university in the relevant field. The possibility of partial substitution is negotiated with the course teacher.

Tentit ja muut määräajat

Opintojakson pakolliset, ei-arvioitavat tehtävät ja arvioitavat tehtävät jaksottuvat koko opintojakson ajalle. Tehtävät ajoittuvat opetussuunnitelman mukaisten asiakokonaisuuksien päättymiseen.

Opiskelijan työmäärä

Opiskelijan työmäärä on 135 tuntia, 1 opintopiste on vastaa noin 27 tuntia opiskelijan työtä. Työmäärä riippuu kuitenkin opiskelumenetelmistä ja aiemmasta osaamisesta.

Toteutuksen osien kuvaus

Opintojakson arvioitavat osat ovat 1) lähteiden käyttöön ja referointiin perustuva tutkiva kirjoittaminen, 2) työelämässä tarvittavat, asiakirjastandardiin perustuvat raportointitaidot sekä 3) työelämän puheviestintä.

Assessment methods and criteria

Arvioinnin perusteena ovat kurssin osaamistavoitteiden mukaiset tehtävät. Arvioinnin perusteiden ja arviointimenetelmien tarkempi kuvaus löytyy kurssin Learn-alustalta. Opintojakson hyväksytty suorittaminen edellyttää pakollisten, ei-arvioitavien tehtävien ja arvioitavien tehtävien hyväksyttyä suoritusta.
Arvioitavat tehtävät arvioidaan asteikolla 1–5. Pakolliset, ei-arvioitavat tehtävät arvioidaan asteikolla Hyväksytty/Hylätty.
