Teaching methods

The course consists of lectures, exercises and field exercises. In the course, we delve into forestry logistics methods and logistics as part of the wood procurement chain. Part of the course is the role of private roads in wood procurement.

The course is attended by representatives of employers and stakeholders as guest lecturers, e.g. from Skall and Uittoyhdistys.

The student's workload in the course is 135 hours. It consists of lectures, exercises and field exercises.

Content scheduling

Planning and control of harvesting and wood transport. Forest roads and other wood transport routes. Transport entrepreneurship. Transportation control systems. Floating and rail and road transport.
